Some of the links on Faves are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something, the retailer pays Faves a small commission. You pay the same price either way— the commission comes out of the retailer's pocket, not yours.

Faves is free, and we'd like to keep it that way. Affiliate commissions help cover the bills (hosting, email, the domain you're reading this on) so we don't have to charge people, run ads, or sell anyone's data.

What changes: When you click an outbound link to a partner retailer (like Amazon, Target, Sephora, Nordstrom, etc.), the URL gets a small tracking tag appended so the retailer knows the click came from Faves.

What doesn't change:

• The price you pay
• The product you see
• Which faves get shown on your profile or in your friends' feeds
• What your friends recommend to you — Faves doesn't modify or filter user content based on affiliate rates

We don't. Faves is built entirely around what you and your friendssay you love. There's no editorial team picking products, no algorithm steering you toward higher-commission brands, and no paid placements. If a fave shows up on someone's profile, it's because they put it there.

When you tap a fave's outbound link, we record an anonymous click (which fave, which retailer domain, whether it was an affiliate link, and the timestamp). We use this to understand which faves drive interest and to attribute any future commission revenue back to the people whose faves drove the clicks.

We don't share click data with third parties, and we don't use it for ad targeting. Our full data practices are in the Privacy Policy.

Faves participates (or plans to participate) in affiliate programs with: Amazon Associates, Target, Walmart, Etsy, Sephora, Nordstrom, Apple, Williams-Sonoma, REI, Wayfair, and Best Buy. This list will grow over time as we sign up for additional programs.
